‘6 yards — 5 stones’ is the name of my master project.
‘6 yards — 5 stones’ refers to the standard size of a ‘traditional’ African wax cloth, 6 yards, and the 5 stones stand for the conflict minerals you find in Congolese soil.
It is an awareness campaign in five patterns surrounding five minerals: gold, copper, cobalt, diamond and coltan.
The fabrics and the books together measure 6 yards.
